LOLER inspections across central Scotland

LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) aim to reduce risks to people’s Health & Safety from lifting equipment provided for use at work and ensure the equipment is fit for purpose.

If you are an employer or self-employed person providing lifting equipment for use at work, or you have control of the use of lifting equipment, then the Regulations will apply to you. Therefore, you need to ensure that in using any lifting equipment the requirements of LOLER are met.

What is LOLER?

Our LOLER inspections

Competent individuals must carry out the inspection and examination of your forklift trucks. Our team of expert engineers have more than twenty years’ experience working with forklift trucks and are therefore the best people to carry out the job.

Working with Scot Truck Forklifts, you will have the peace of mind that your LOLER inspections are being carried out by qualified professionals that can also provide you with the necessary parts and repairs if anything is found to be wrong with your forklift trucks.

The process

We will send out one of our friendly and professional engineers by appointment to your workplace, to carry out the inspection at a time that is most convenient for you. After inspecting your forklifts, they will provide immediate feedback of any serious defects that they have identified. We can then work with you to get these resolved to ensure your forklifts are compliant with LOLER.

LOLER reports

According to the regulations, the individual carrying out the inspection is required to inform the owner of the equipment about any problems in person and then proceed to provide a written account of the issues. Our engineers will provide you with a summary and a review of any queries that arose from the inspection at the end of our visit. They will then proceed to write a full report on your forklift truck inspection, which you can use for your records.

How much do LOLER inspections cost?

Our LOLER inspections are offered at a fixed price, so you needn’t worry about hidden or extra charges. If after the initial inspection, we find something wrong with your forklift truck, we will suggest what repairs need to be made and the parts you will need to purchase, so you can decide whether you want us to go ahead with sourcing and fitting them. We will never carry out any additional work without gaining consent from you, the customer.
